The Kizlyar Supreme Biker Z — A Surprisingly Solid Everyday Folder

After putting the Russian-made Biker Z through months of daily carry, here's my honest take on whether this budget-friendly flipper delivers on performance, comfort, and value.

My Take After using it as my EDC

I picked up the Kizlyar Supreme Biker Z not knowing what to expect What surprised me was how often I reached for it over my pricier knives.

At roughly 5 ounces and 3.6 inches of blade, it's not the lightest in your pocket. This is Russian style edc. This knife is substantial enough to feel serious when you actually need it. The G10 handles have aged nicely, showing minimal wear even after a good bit of use. Much like other Eastern European creations, this thing is simple but effective!

Smoothish deployment. The flipper mechanism broke in quickly—now it flicks open with a satisfying snap. No stiffness, no play. It isn't assisted so you have to flick it like a man comrade.

Solid lockup. The liner lock feels secure. Never once slipped during use, which matters more than fancy ergonomics.

Sharp out of the box. Came razor-sharp and held an edge well through typical EDC tasks.

The Tradeoffs

Flipper tab is bulky. Takes some getting used to if you're coming from traditional thumb studs.

Steel options vary. I tested the AUS-8 version. If you're after low-maintenance, the AUS-8 might be the best option.

Pocket clip is generic. Works fine, but nothing special. Easy to swap if you're picky. I did have to remove it and bend it in to work better for me.

Who Should Buy This?

  • Beginners looking for a reliable first "serious" knife

  • Experienced carriers wanting a budget beater

  • Anyone who prefers plain edge versatility over serrations

Final Verdict

The Biker Z isn't flashy. It doesn't have titanium handles or exotic powder steel. But it does what a daily knife should: opens reliably, cuts cleanly, locks firmly, and fits comfortably in hand and pocket.

For the money, I'd recommend it without hesitation. It's become my go-to when I don't want to worry about scratching or losing a premium blade. The sad thing is I'm not sure where to pick this blade up anymore I bought it years ago. below is some of their other knives, that are available.
